Dell again delays plant shutting

Dell workers are removing an additional reprieve.

The Winston-Salem Journal reported Thursday that since of augmenting direct for desktop computers, Dell will keep the Forsyth County plant open until the finish of October.

Its the third time the association has lengthened the deadline for shutting the plant.

The association had programmed to close in January, putting 905 people out of work. It afterwards lengthened the deadline to Apr thirty and afterwards Jul 31. About 500 employees remain.

The shift of heart has cost Dell. After it voiced the closing, the association paid behind about $26.5 million in internal inducement money, the journal reported. Under conditions of the agreement, it would have been means to keep about half of that by creation it to the finish of October, according to contributor Richard Craver.
